By using composite bonding, your dentist can restore chipped or broken teeth, fill in gaps and rejuvenate your smile!
Composite resin is a putty-like material, matched to the natural tooth colour for repair. The surface of the tooth is firstly roughened to help the material adhere in place.
The paste is then layered, shaped and smoothed to the tooth to create the desired contour. The composite is then set by a heat-activated light to secure placement.
After the material is hardened, your dentist will polish the area to match the lustre of the natural tooth. The whole procedure takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.
Gum contouring involves contouring and reshaping the gum line that surrounds the teeth. This can be done to one tooth to even your gum line, or to several teeth to expose more of the tooth and create a proportionate smile.
